In a small town on the suburbs of Seoul.
Jung-Won is running a small photo studio.  His father used to operate the studio, but Jung-Won came into his father’s business because Father’s sight is failing.  Jung-Won is in his mid thirties.  He suffers from a incurable disease.  He does not know when his final hour is.  Now he is ready to die after he overcomes the severe mental blow.  He has his father and a sister who is married and visits his place occasionally.   His mother died long ago.

He spends his last life as usual.  Just calmly.  One day Jung-Won meets a young Da-Rim who is a parking controller.  She stops by Jung-Won’s studio for her pictures’ development and print.  She starts to stop by regularly and both get interested in each other slowly.  Jung-Won feels something fresh from Da-Rim.  Da-Rim feels comfortable when she is with Jung-Won.  However, Jung-Won thinks that he cannot start to love her because of his limited life.  He waits for her stopping by at his studio, though.

Jung-Won is taken to the hospital in emergency.  He is worse suddenly.  He is eager to see Da-Rim, but is afraid to meet her, because he knows what the longing for life is.  Da-Rim wanders around Jung-Won’s studio without knowing what happens to him.   After a while,  Da-Rim does not come to his studio.  Jung-Won finds out where she transferred her job to and just sees her from away.
On Christmas Eve,  Da-Rim stops by at the studio.  But the shop is closed with a sign “On Business Trip”.  She is surprised at her picture taken by Jung-Won and hanging on the wall in the studio.   She is smiling in her picture.  Da-Rim is happy to know that Jung-Won is still thinking of her.   A Christmas carol is played behind her.
