Jun-Sub, a novelist at his 40’s, receives a phone call which informs him of his mother’s death.
The funeral services, in the Korean traditional style, starts as Jun-Sub arrives at his old home.  His family members get together for the funeral.  His mother, 87, has suffered from senile dementia, so relatives are not so sad about her death.
The mourner’s house gets noisy and messy while many happenings occur.  As time goes by,  people are getting drunk and the place is changing to the scene of a spree.  Suddenly, Yong-Soon, the ostracized niece of Jun-Sub, who is dead-drunk, throws a cold blanket over the spree shouting out aggressively….
